After an integrated issue has been opened, SeeClickFix (SCF) will check to see if there have been any updates made to that Request within the external integrated system.
To make these checks, SeeClickFix will periodically pull the record of a request from the external API to check for updates. The external system never asks us for updates. As a result, after you update a request on your system, there can be a delay before any result is seen on the SCF issue. To make sure we aren't overtaxing our system or the remote system, we "poll" the external system less as the age of the Request increases.
Default Polling Schedule
Under our default polling schedule, the longer an issue remains open, the less frequently we check it for updates.
Issue Created | Polling Period | Checks per Day |
< 1 day ago | Every 1 hour | 24 per day |
< 7 days ago | Every 3 hours | 8 per day |
< 14 days ago | Every 8 hours | 3 per day |
> 14 days ago | Every 24 hours | 1 per day |
Limited Polling Schedule
If this polling is too frequent for your needs, we can switch you to a limited polling schedule that checks all issues once daily.
Issue Created | Polling Period | Checks per Day |
Any time | Every 24 hours | 1 per day |
