Points of Interest are designed to engage constituents with issues reported in their community.
Users who are added to an Organization within SeeClickFix will have their points of interest removed. This is done to remove the possibility of duplicate notifications. In short, Points of Interest are a feature specific to public users.
Points of Interest (POI) are established when you’ve signed up and set a home location. Once you’ve set a home location, five POIs are generated and placed in a pattern encompassing the small area near your “home” location that you set. If an issue is reported close to one of these places we might notify you to take action. These notifications ensure you are aware of issues that are to be resolved.
Adding New Points of Interest
Points of interest are created based on your SeeClickFix activity. If you report in certain neighborhoods frequently, POIs will generate since we believe these areas are most interesting to you.
Remove or Unsubscribe - What's the Difference?
Removing points of interest will eliminate notifications that are generated by reports near that point of interest. However, unsubscribing will completely unsubscribe you from receiving email notifications in regard to reports near a point of interest.
Recommended: Remove individual Points of Interest to remove notifications about reports in the area that are unwanted.
