There are many reasons that citizens wish to remove their account. SeeClickFix support will help deactivate their account, but we first want to know the reason why and find a better solution to keep them as an active user.
Before citizen users are able to deactivate their account, we typically find that there is some account change or issue adjustment that the citizen cannot figure out. Here are common reasons for deactivation and possible solutions.
If you a citizen is no longer interested in using SeeClickFix, and they would like their account deactivated, email our customer support team: firstname.lastname@example.org. Once your account is deleted, it will remain in the deactivated state, and all actions made on the account will be saved. At any time if you’d like to re-activate your account, reach out to us, and we can reverse the actions to reinstate your account.
- Too many email notifications! The citizen can unsubscribe from emails within their account.
- My name is visible on my report! The citizen can change their Display Name to hide their name on their existing report. How do I change my display name?
