Owners have the ability to add organizational members as automatic subscribers whenever a request is submitted to a specific category. Subscribers will receive all the “assignee notifications” as outlined in the Email Notifications article.
Important Notes
- Removing a member from an account removes their auto-subscription and existing subscriptions. Adding the same member back restores subscriptions.
- Adding a user as an Automatic Subscriber will not assign the request to them. View information on how to create Automations and set users to be the automatic assignee.
Instructions
- Navigate to Profile > Manage Organization
- Select Request Categories
- Select the category title
- Use the Automatic Subscribers dropdown to select members
- Select Update

What is the difference between an automation and an automatic subscriber
Hi Blake, an automatic subscriber will not be automatically assigned to a request for the category, they will just receive email notifications about the request. Creating an automation allows you to automatically assign a user to the request when the specified criteria are met. The article has been updated to include this information, let us know if you have additional questions!
Hello,
If the person is added as Automatic Subscribers and not a member, will still they receive an email notification, and not be able to login into the software?
Hi Kanika the user will first need to be a member in the system to be selected as an Automatic Subscriber in the drop-down.
