Active URLs in Secondary Questions and Comments
To give you better tools to increase resident understanding and direction around each 311 request, we’re introducing the ability to include active URLs to secondary questions as well as comments.
By adding a URL to a secondary question or comment, you can point residents to sites that can provide additional or even critical information by request type.
Residents can tap the URLs in the secondary questions or comments and be redirected to the linked site to find important information or guidance regarding their 311 request. This feature can be used for any type of secondary question or message.
Improved Location Naming in iOS
We’re continuously working to improve the accuracy of our 311 reporting services. If a request location does not have a specific physical address, our iOS application will provide the place name (as provided by Apple Maps) so that requests without addresses now include a place name for more context.
The active URLs are currently available on the SeeClickFix web portal and CRM. During the first week of March, we’ll release an update to our SeeClickFix iOS and Android apps.
We will be updating our marketplace applications with these features in late March 2021 (around the third week).
Request Workflow Improvements
We’ve added a few other items to improve the workflow and process for reporting and managing service requests.
- Notification and addition of auto subscribers when the request is recategorized
- Retention of details and answers to the secondary question if a new address needs to be selected during reporting flow on the portal (this was already applied to the CRM new request form).
- Add a line for actual dates of data shown on the Report for clarity of data.
Internet Explorer 11 Support Ending April 15, 2021
Beginning April 15, 2021, SeeClickFix platforms will no longer support Internet Explorer 11. SeeClickFix supports the current major version and one previous major version for Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft Edge. We highly recommend utilizing one of these supported browsers.
In August 2020, Microsoft announced that Microsoft 365 apps and services would no longer support Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11) by August 2021.
This means that after the above date, users will have a degraded experience or will be unable to connect to SeeClickFix on IE 11.
